Brisbane City Council has just released data such as: bus stop locations, bin collection days, CityCycle locations, parking areas, Eat Safe ratings and even dog parks to the public and we want to see what you can do with it.
A HackFest is a chance to work on your own or with other developers in a team over a short period of time to deliver something fabulous, quirky, innovative or ingenious.
HackFest Brisbane is timed to coincide with the launch of the hack::Brisbane competition that challenges software developers to help improve Brisbane with creative new apps or websites that use Brisbane City Council data.
HackFest Brisbane is a one day mini version of the competition designed to stimulate ideas for and to promote hack::Brisbane.
At the end of the day everyone gets to do a quick fire demo of what they have come up with.
We’ll provide a venue, Wi-Fi, power and some lunch. You’ll need your imagination, enthusiasm and a computer!
